They say hindsight is always 20:20. Only when we look back on our life, we can connect the dots of where our life has brought us. I started my journey with a Ph.D in a topic on history which was not even close to what I am working on today. The venerable Dr Trivedi inspired me to pursue a D. Litt on a treatise which was totally alien to me - the sermon given by Sage Vashishtha to Lord Ram, contained in the treatise of Yogavashishta. That my work of 6 years opened the door to a new world for me was a serendipity.

It was around 1992, and as I was about to finish my D Litt thesis, my elder brother Shri Vipin Kumar started asking me to help him in the work that he was doing. Though he was actually a Physicist in National Physical Laboratory in Delhi, he had a spiritual bent of mind right from his childhood. To satiate that hunger, he used to go to the Veda-Sansthan to listen to the lectures of the eminent scholar on Vedas, Dr Fateh Singh. He used to cite parts of Puranas to explain the Vedas and this inspired brother Vipin to start understanding the Puranas. He got inspired to create an alphabetical listing of the Puranic subjects so that it would become easier to correlate each subject between the Vedas and the Puranas to be able to understand them better.

I was reluctant since I had already taken a lot of time away from my family during the course of working on my Ph.D. and D.Litt. But God has a plan and I could not say no to brother Vipin for too long and got involved in the work with him. The work of preparing the listing was already going on for the last 20-22 years and as that work came to a close, brother Vipin started writing small descriptions on the topics as well, so as to make the work complete in itself. He initially started taking up the subjects alphabetically but then started picking them in the order of interest, just to keep it from getting too monotonous. As I kept working on the varied topics, a connection started to emerge between the stories and the texts. I started working on various stories of Bhagwat Purana and with time the interest and the connections kept growing, and a higher force eventually lead me to take up first The Mahabharat and then The Ramayan.

The ancient Indian texts of Shrimadbhagwat, Mahabharat and Ramayan are oceans of knowledge. These texts have entered the deepest realms of the Indian mind over thousands of years. They are a part of our being. I had a firm belief that there had to be more than history and moral science in these texts. There has to be something in them that was much more important than this, which got lost in the passage of time and in the long journey of the downfall of our consciousness. Once I took one step in that direction, the next step became easier.

My primary work is on unravelling the meanings of these 3 texts. The work on Shrimadbhagwat and Mahabharat got publishes as my first book "Secrets of Bhagwat, Mahabharat and Ramayan" and subsequently the complete work on Ramayan got published as a second book "Secrets of Ramayan"

This site is a natural inference from the work that I have been doing. It is an attempt to clear up the myths surrounding our daily beliefs and culture - our festivals, our rituals and our religious life. I hope you enjoy this journey of revelation along with me...
